Crowns
If a tooth has sustained loss of
structure through decay or injury, or if
you are missing a tooth,
the best option is a crown. They are strong
and durable for your damaged
tooth (root). Sometimes referred to as "caps,"
crowns are placed over natural
teeth or dental implants. They are slightly
expensive at about \105,000 for one.
Gum lightening
A procedure not generally done
in the West, gum lightening assists when
the gums are discolored by metal
tattoo, natural melanine pigmentation, or
extensive use of antibiotics
during childhood. Lasers are used to produce
a more natural color. This is brand
new technology, so many dentists are not
trained in this area. Costs are the same
as a regular gum operation, but the results
can make you entire mouth healthier and
prettier.
Teeth whitining
Dental implants
Implants are used when there is
damage to the root of the tooth. The root
area is hollowed out to resemble
the receptacle for a screw. The dentist literelly
screws the implant into place.
Implants are useful for replacing missing
teeth and cost more or less the
same as a crown.
